Monastery of Saint Paraskevi at Tempi

Saint Paraskevi’s traditional country church is built inside a rock of mount Olympus. A suspension bridge that passes over Pinios river and is situated on a spot of rare beauty joins it with the national road.

It is one of the major pilgrimages of the area that attracts thousands of visitors every year. Plenty of pilgrims go on a pilgrimage to Saint Paraskevi’s country church on July 26, day of the feast of Saint Paraskevi, the patroness of the eyes and the gypsies.
